Expert Adult Brachial Plexus Care at Mayo Clinic

At Mayo Clinic, you’ll have brachial plexus surgeons who are recognized nationally and internationally for surgical technical excellence and innovative approaches. Our surgeons are experienced in advanced microsurgical techniques, have developed new muscle and tendon transfers, and are at the forefront in understanding nerve regeneration.

In our laboratories for microsurgery and regenerative medicine, surgeons and researchers develop new solutions to repair nerves, muscles, and tendons for faster healing. Innovation by our experts has resulted in progressively more predictable and reliable treatment outcomes at Mayo Clinic. Each year, hundreds of people with brachial plexus injuries come to us for care.

A whole team of experts focused on you.

At Mayo Clinic, you have the benefit of multiple brachial plexus experts who collaborate. Neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, hand and microvascular surgeons, radiologists, physical rehabilitation experts, and other specialists all work together to provide you with an accurate diagnosis and a comprehensive treatment plan.

Because our neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons work together to perform surgeries, this can shorten surgery time under anesthesia while providing extra expertise for you. One expert may operate on the brachial plexus while another obtains nerve grafts from the calf or harvests muscle to transfer to the injured arm.

When it's time to find answers, you know where to go.
