We provide clinical evaluations for neurofibromatosis type 1 and 2 and schwannomatosis, including NF2 related schwannomatosis. Physicians in our Neurofibromatosis Clinic have significant experience treating people with these conditions.

At Mayo Clinic, specialists have access to the full array of genetic, imaging, vision, and hearing tests to accurately diagnose neurofibromatosis. At Mayo Clinic we have the ability to perform Whole Body MRI to assess full extent of the disease's progress.

Our doctors are experienced in treatment approaches for all forms of neurofibromatosis, including medical therapies with recently FDA approved agents, surgery, radiotherapy, cochlear implants, and auditory brainstem implants.

Genetic counselors can help you make decisions appropriate for you and your family, considering risk, family goals, and ethical and religious standards.

You will have a supportive care team at Mayo Clinic to help you understand and cope with your diagnosis, and to help coordinate tests and appointments.
