With our integrated team model of care, what might take months to accomplish elsewhere can typically be done in a matter of days at Mayo Clinic.

  • Test results are available quickly and appointments are scheduled in coordination.
  • Everyone on your team works together to plan and provide exactly the care you need.

Advanced care by a team of experts

Our teams include neuroradiologists, neuropathologists, neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, orthopedic oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, neurologists with subspecialty expertise in tumor diagnosis and management, rehabilitation specialists and other professionals. Thoracic, orthopedic, cardiac, general and plastic surgeons may be involved, depending on the tumor’s location.

Sometimes the right procedure is no procedure. Mayo Clinic experts are paid a fixed salary. They are not paid based on the number of procedures or tests ordered. This means we will recommend surgery only when necessary, and when other less-invasive approaches have been ruled out.

Nationally recognized for expertise.

Mayo Clinic in Arizona’s Neurology and Neurosurgery specialties are recognized on Newsweek’s World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2025 list.

Mayo Clinic is top ranked in more specialties than any other hospital, according to U.S. News & World Report.

Mayo Clinic in Arizona, a National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, has been ranked #1 in the state of Arizona for Neurology and Neurosurgery, and Cancer care.

Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center meets strict standards for a National Cancer Institute comprehensive cancer center, recognizing scientific excellence and a multispecialty approach focused on cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

While U.S. News only reports national specialty rankings and doesn't rank specialties at the regional or state level, Mayo Clinic evaluates whether a hospital outperforms others in its region or state based on national rankings.
